Lurking under Buried Hearts’ wayward grim plot is ambition and the dark side of it. The second episode shows the true colours of the characters. The story reveals how power and avarice compel people to do anything for power and fortune. Alliances turn in a moment, and friends become foes at the time of their benefit.

In this second episode of Buried Hearts, Seo Dong Ju (Park Hyung Sik) embarks on two of his biggest battles. Those close to him wield their power against him, and the woman he loves, Yeo Eun Nam (Hong Hwa Yeon), breaks his heart by marrying another man for her ambition and safe future. When he wonders whether she ever thought of marrying him, her answer is crushing.

In Buried Hearts, Chae Gang Cheon (said chair) of Daesun makes an agreement with Yeom Jang Seon to fire Seo Dong Joo, but ultimately decided to give Seo another shot. Yeom took this as a personal threat and employed hitmen to kill Dong Ju. Furious, Dong Ju bought revenge by wiring $2 million from Yeom’s Swiss account. Episode 3 is available globally on Disney+ (as JioHotstar in India) on Feb 28 at 9 p.m. KST (6:30 p.m. IST). In Korea, it will be available also on the OTT platform Wavve, and new episodes will be released every Friday and Saturday.

Seo Dong Ju steals two million dollars and uses the money to blackmail Yeom Jang Seon, making Yeom Jang Seon agree to let him live and start anew. The impending clash between Dong Ju, who wants to take, and Yeom, who wants to preserve, will surely be thrilling. The story also explores Dong Ju’s romantic side — he’s still Madly in Love with the woman he lost, who has now married another man. His two biggest motivations, passion and a good heart, are simultaneously to earn a great deal of money and retrieve his former love.
