My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Recap

Ju-yeon’s painful past unfolds as Su-jeong discovers his hidden world

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Recap

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 starts with a gut-punch flashback — young Ju-yeon, laughing, talking with his mom in the car. In a grisly flashback, Ju-yeon’s parents die in a vehicle crash while shielding him, a loss that fills him with unshakeable guilt. His grandmother holds him responsible, and from thereon in, Ju-yeon devotes himself to gaining approval. But he also builds a secret escape room, a place with comforts.

And jump to the present day, when Su-jeong finds this secret room and is intrigued by it. Ju-yeon, frantic, says it’s his nephew’s room, but Su-jeong isn’t having it. While she fixes the lights, music suddenly blares and Ju-yeon begins to dance to it instinctively. Tickled, Su-jeong reaches for a comic book, then Ju-yeon tries to shield it, but it’s too late: she already knows his secret. Rather than mocking him, she acknowledges it, something quietly revealing about him that he’s never felt comfortable sharing.

Ju-yeon helps Su-jeong, then quietly retreats

Before Ju-yeon can get over his embarrassment, Su-jeong’s phone rings — her father has had an accident. Without missing a beat, Ju-yeon takes her to the hospital, where they discover it’s merely a small fracture. But Ju-yeon pulls the strings and books his father a VVIP room. So grateful for his unexpected kindness, Su-jeong thanks him. He goes away, then comes back and sees her alone, crying quietly. Rather than calling her out, he leaves her a small gift in her father and shoots her a text.

Su-jeong opens up, Ju-yeon supports silently

Ju-yeon notices that Su-jeong left her repair tools at his place the next day, and calls her. Meanwhile, Su-jeong’s younger brother argues that she shouldn’t have to bear everything herself, and after some back and forth, she allows him to take the lead. She goes to Ju-yeon’s to pick up her bag, but her car won’t start at the worst time. Ju-yeon tells her to take it to the Yongsung store for repairs.

While she is there, Ju-yeon mentions having seen her cry at the hospital. At first, Su-jeong wants to dismiss it, but finally admits it was about her mother’s death. Ju-yeon doesn’t judge her. Later, he gives her the keys to a rental, not her broken car. When she refuses, Ju-yeon presses her. This small act makes Su-jeong see him differently. Elsewhere, Joon-sool aggressively pursues Ha-jin, only to be cruelly rebuffed. Tough luck for him.

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Recap

Ju-yeon and Su-jeong grow unexpectedly closer.

The next day at school, Su-jeong slides Ju-yeon some chocolate milk and assures him she’ll take the blame if anyone asks. Ju-yeon is a little moved, and it’s weird. Later, he is forgetful and calls Su-jeong when he forgets an important work file. In her power logging into his laptop, she laughs at the absurdity of his password. That night, the idea pops into her head — maybe Ju-yeon isn’t as terrible as she thought.

Ha-jin’s past with Ju-yeon collides as Su-jeong unknowingly faces the Black Dragon

Elsewhere, Ha-jin finally finds Ju-yeon and is transported back in time. Flashback to 18-year-old Ju-yeon telling a lie to the group about his age and making up a story about a girl named Strawberry, before telling Ha-jin to never try to see him again. Now, they sit back to back and communicate in silence. Ha-jin, now grateful for the gifts, heads out.

Just then, Su-jeong shows up, and Ha-jin sighs with relief. Lucky she hadn’t been there before then, or she would’ve run into the dreaded Black Dragon. Unbeknownst to Ha-jin, though, Su-jeong’s superior isn’t just another general; he is, in fact, the Black Dragon.

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Recap

Su-jeong challenges Ju-yeon at work, but a surprise arcade battle leads to unexpected fun

The next day at work, Su-jeong turns her ire on Ju-yeon for picking such crappy stores for Gangnam. At one point, she confronts him in a meeting, only for Ju-yeon, ever-so-calm, to reveal that it was all, well, a test. Although she broke her silence, the others did not, despite the grim list. The result? Embarrassment all around. The employees come away feeling ashamed.

Later, a fuming Su-jeong takes a break on the office balcony. She’s joined by Ju-yeon, who explains that the test was required for the company. Then, out of nowhere, he says, how can he cheer her up? Dealing with an uncharacteristically caught-off-guard Su-jeong, she is surprised when he tells her she’s the only one he can be himself with. Before long, they’re in an arcade, going head to head. Su-jeong wins the majority of the games, but Ju-yeon, where there’s a will there’s a way, puts up a fight.

Su-jeong and Ju-yeon’s moment interrupted by the Black Dragon’s secret

That night, Ha-jin invites them to dinner. En route to the restaurant, Su-jeong’s shoelaces untie. Ju-yeon kneels down and ties it for her, and there’s this sudden silence and lingering eye contact. Just as the tension is built—buzz! Ha-jin calls with an urgent warning: “Do not enter our home. The Black Dragon is there.”

Su-jeong freezes. Is she finally beginning to connect the dots? Or will fate — and her bad timing — leave her out of the loop a little longer? Either way, it is about to get very interesting.

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Honest Review

My Dearest Nemesis Episode 4 Recap

Ju-yeon’s secret world is spilling into reality, and Su-jeong just might be closer to the truth than ever. This episode is wonderfully chaotic, rife with gut-punch flashbacks and unexpected tender moments between Ju-yeon and Su-jeong. From Ju-yeon’s silly laptop password to Su-jeong catching him dancing in his nephew’s room, their burgeoning relationship is fun to observe. And who could forget his nasty rejection by Sin-won — ouch.

“But the real storm is coming.” Ha-jin is about to discover Ju-yeon’s gaming identity, and Su-jeong is on the verge of cracking everything. The meeting scene? Intense. The arcade showdown? Hilarious chaos. And that shoelace moment? Pure butterflies. But then — BAM — Ha-jin’s warning call hits like a bomb. Will Su-jeong finally connect the dots, or does destiny (and her atrocious timing) keep her in the dark for just a bit longer? Whatever the case, the drama is heating up, and we’re up for it.
