My Dearest Nemesis Episode 5: Love-Hate Dynamics and Unexpected Romances Unfold
In My Dearest Nemesis, the titular characters (played by Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook) maintain a steamy love-hate dynamic despite the male lead’s tendency to behave chaotically in terms of his affection, which the female lead counters with a mature disposition. This week’s episode had them getting closer, if not consciously aware of it. In particular, the second couple, played by Kwak Shi Young and Im Se Mi, shocked viewers with a relationship twist. Fans — just how interesting their combination of tension and unexpected romance is!

As Baek Su Jeong (Moon Ga Young) learns about—and gradually comes to value—Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook) through his quirky interests, such as rock concerts and comics, she is really making him feel accepted in My Dearest Nemesis. But things go awry when he accidentally shows her his secret room after he calls a repair service, only to discover Su Jeong is the owner’s daughter. Not only is the exposure unexpected, but Ju Yeon also comes to a point where he decides that having someone who knows his secrets is a good thing.
As the two become closer, Su Jeong begins to share more of the story of her late mother. Meanwhile, Seo Ha Jin (Im Se Mi) is the only one aware of their second identities, and will go to any lengths to keep them from uncovering the truth. The complexities of their relationships deepening, episodes 5 and 6, which debut on March 3 and 4, will continue down this rabbit hole. It airs in South Korea on tvN and in the rest of the world on Viki, and they’ll be available to watch at 8:50 p.m. KST.

There’s an added layer of intrigue to My Dearest Nemesis, where Seo Ha Jin (Im Se Mi) and Kim Sim Won (Kwak Shi Young) are encountering the slow burn of developing romance. What begins as a one-night stand soon grows into something deeper, with Kim Sim Won, who’s never gotten serious with anyone before, developing actual feelings for her. But Ha Jin, traumatized by her tumultuous divorce, rebuffs his advances and leaves his body speechless.
On the other hand, the lead couple, Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook) and Baek Su Jeong (Moon Ga Young) will get get their swoon-worthy moments in the upcoming episodes. Ju Yeon will indirectly encourage Su Jeong that it’s alright to date younger men, may be even suggesting that he might be the right man for her. Viewers will be kept hooked by the emotional and romantic developments in the next episodes!
