Stray Kids’ Bang Chan is stepping up to combat deepfake accounts online. Here’s a quick look at his efforts to track and remove fake profiles while keeping fans informed.

Netizens said in the comments:
I hope this becomes an industry wide tactic. Idols already get enough hate for random innocuous things so they definitely don’t need deepfaked videos as another worry.
I am glad Chan is pursuing legal action, but it makes me really, really sad that he saw those deep fake videos. I can’t imagine how painful and frightening it must have been, especially because the people posting them were trying to trend tags saying he needs to apologize for the deepfake content. With the amount of misinformation that gets circulated and repeated on social media, especially to try to cancel people, these types of posts carry real reputational risk.
The more successful, the more evil hate.
Good on him, the deepfake stuff going around is an extra level of harmful and scary, hope it's succesful and can maybe even set a precedent.
Anyone who makes deepfakes should be treated as actual sexual offenders. Good for him on taking action
Rooting for Bang Chan!! Hope this sets a precedent!✊
If anyone deserves justice in this regard, it's him. The atrocities some people have dared to invent about him, the insults, the defamations... Grab them, Chan, and don't let go!
I'm glad the Find out part of FAFO is happening. Too much overall hate and vitriol is spread online. It's time for it to stop. Too much toxicity. People get away with letting their intrusive thoughts become voiced.
ooo Straykids are not playing
Good for them. I hope they do something about the abnormal amount of hate they face on the daily as well. Like every Kpop group is surely hated a lot, and I understand Stray Kids is big now so they'll attract more haters, but it has been absolutely excruciating the past few days now.

i haven't been on twitter in a while cause i've been too busy but i definitely remember seeing an ai deepfake made by a hater that matches the description of "sexual and racist content", and while obviously i don't know if he's suing for the specific video i have in mind or any others, it's very important that he's finally able to call them out on it
